Ministry of Transportation launched a scheme and pleasant Travel App
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that there will be no human interface in the country for driving license for heavy vehicle soon. He has started the scheme for the District Driving Training Center in New Delhi.
The process of granting such driving licenses will be fully computerised. The Minister has also launched a pleasant mobile app and toll free emergency number (1033) for highway users.
Microsoft’s first renewable energy contract for Bangalore
Tech Mahindra has signed its first renewable energy deal in India for its new facility in Bangalore, which will start from June and spread to 5.85 lakh sq ft.
This agreement will look at the 3 MW solar powered electricity purchased from Atria Power for Microsoft’s new office building in Bengaluru, which will participate in 80% of the proposed electricity needs in this facility.
European Development Bank approves membership of India
After the shareholders of the International Financial Institution granted their approval for the country’s candidature, then India is ready to become the 69th member of the European Bank for the Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Formal membership process is in progress, including the purchase of shares by India at an estimated cost of EUR 1 million. EBRD’s Board of Governors, which represents all existing shareholders of the UK-based bank, voted in favor of India’s membership application.

With a net worth of $ 110 billion, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is the richest person in the world and the Forbes magazine list of billionaires is at the top of 2018. According to Forbes, Bezos is the first person to be top billionaires in Forbes list of world’s billionaires.
