On 19 June 2008 a very inspiriting talk was delivered by Ms. Rowling, the celebrated creator of Harry Potter. Read below:

“President Faust, members of the Harvard Corporation and the Board of Overseers, members of the faculty, proud parents, and, above all, graduates,

When one has developed a skill it gives a certain sense of well-being , security . And that skills, born if knowledge , must invariably ,in action , become mechanical ,skill in action is what is sought because it gives a certain position in society , a certain prestige . Living in that field all the time , as one does in modern society ,with all it’s economic demands ,that knowledge and skill become , not only additive but also invariably a repetitive mechanical process that gradually gathers its own simulation , its own arrogance , and power , In that power one has security .

There are stages in life , infact seven stages in life as once
Shakespear wrote .., But , Life does not have to be a straight
Curve , as it must be or as we dream to live at each stage of
life , we are not just confused , but made confused with all the
countless weapons which Society have and what not..!

The Social Engineers would say –give us your brain child, we will
design it into a great social thinker.., and Corporate Engineers
would typical ask for your designer baby for a two year for MBA
program , we will make a Living Corporate legend .The Army would say
